Great image Larry. The post processing makes it very interesting. I used to spend about a week per month in the Rainier Tower and really enjoyed the variety of downtown Seattle. Thanks for getting me into FineArtAmerica and I appreciate all the nice comments. Aloha, Dan

Love this beautiful capture, Larry! I was there during the Seattle World's Fair in 1962 or 1963 and got to go on top of this beautiful Space Needle! Very beautiful scenery in Washington, as I lived there for a year, and just loved it! Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite photo with us and for the memories!

Suzanne... thank you for the kind words. Oh yeah... I'm old enough to remember the "The Jetsons" and long before that the original Mickey Mouse Club with ears and T-shirt, the Howdy Doody Show, Heckle and Jeckle, the original Bugs Bunny Show before the sensors edit them for having so much violence, I even had a Mighty Mouse T-shirt as a kid and ... anyway.... again thank you for the comments and the reminiscing of fun days long ago.

I can almost see "The Jetsons" flying around in their little spaceships! Maybe you're not old enough to remember that show!! You have a wonderful and varied portfolio! Am enjoying traveling through it! Thank you for your comment on my photo, also! Blessings, Suzanne

Artist's Description

I took this photograph of Seattle at sunset last summer from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill. With the help of CS3 Photoshop I was able to transform it into this unique look.
If you look just to the right of the base of the Space Needle you can see an image of Ichiro with the Seattle Mariners on the wall of the local KOMO 4 TV station. You can also see people on the outside viewing deck of the Space Needle.

About Larry Keahey

My love for photography began when I was very young; as the photo shows me reaching for dad's new Leica camera. My 1st camera a Kodak, was given to me by my father back before grade school. The camera even had film in it. The only thing I remember about this camera was that you viewed through the top. Dad was a professional photographer most of his life. So you might say that I have inherited my father's eye to see the beauty of this world. I want to dedicate this page to my best friend, who is also my wonderful wife, Phyllis. She's been my camera crew for over 50 years and counting. Please enjoy the pictures and your comments are very welcome. Comments are how all of us on FAA know if what we offer as art is enjoyed by others. If you...
