Artist's Description

This is a photograph of Francis Boardman Eaton aka Pistol Pete taken Sept 16, 1952 at Quigley Barber Shop in Enid Oklahoma by my father Darrel Keahey. I found this 4x5 negative in some of my fathers photo collections along with 2 other negatives; one of Francis in the same doorway but with his pistol holstered and the other with Francis on a horse riding in the Cherokee Strip Parade in downtown Enid. All three are dated the same day. To find out more about Pistol Pete and what kind of a character he was, Bing or Google his name. Enjoy.

About Larry Keahey

Larry Keahey

My love for photography began when I was very young; as the photo shows me reaching for dad's new Leica camera. My 1st camera a Kodak, was given to me by my father back before grade school. The camera even had film in it. The only thing I remember about this camera was that you viewed through the top. Dad was a professional photographer most of his life. So you might say that I have inherited my father's eye to see the beauty of this world. I want to dedicate this page to my best friend, who is also my wonderful wife, Phyllis. She's been my camera crew for over 50 years and counting. Please enjoy the pictures and your comments are very welcome. Comments are how all of us on FAA know if what we offer as art is enjoyed by others. If you...
