Artist's Description

This oil rig fire was taken by my late father, Darrel Keahey, near Canton, Oklahoma in 1965. In this photo to the lower right are the lights of the relief drilling rig which is drilling at an angle to intercept the burning well in order to shut down the flow. It took more than a year to cap this well.
