Artist's Description
This is a photo of one of many cats that roam the rocks around the port area in Westport, Washington. He acted like he's the king of the rocks. Most of the other cats and racoons would run and hide but he just sat there and watched us to make sure we weren't a threat.
About Larry Keahey
My love for photography began when I was very young; as the photo shows me reaching for dad's new Leica camera. My 1st camera a Kodak, was given to me by my father back before grade school. What a regal looking cat. It looks as though he has a mane of sorts...was he a larger than normal cat? Almost a malevolent look! He is reminiscent of a Maine Coon to me. Love his lopped off (or more like..bitten off from tom cat fights) right ear..You can tell he has an alley cat existence with the bedraggled fur of his 'mane'. Anyway..love this photo and the story, Larry. Also, thanks for your nice comments upon my Farm Implements in Color photo. Much appreciated! ;0) Julie
